Billionaire entrepreneur and former The Benefactor star Mark Cuban and his professional partner Kym Johnson were revealed to be the fifth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' fifth season during last night's live results show broadcast on ABC.

"I've gained so many new friends.  I've gained such an appreciation for the effort that everyone puts in," said Mark after host Tom Bergeron revealed he was the fifth celebrity participant sent packing.  "It's just such and amazing, amazing experience.  I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Mark and Kym were among the bottom two couples based on a combination of the judges' scores from Monday night's performance episode and home viewer votes cast following the broadcast.  Actress Jane Seymour and her professional partner Tony Dovolani were the other couple in the result show's bottom two.

Mark and Kym performed an I Dream of Genie-themed samba routine during Monday night's performance episode, and the Dancing with the Stars' judges scored it a 21 out of a possible 30 points.

"I liked it.  I actually thought it was really fun.  I liked the tribute to I Dream of Genie," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said following the routine.  "I thought it was very suiting for you.  I saw that you threw in a lot of basic [moves], I mean, the content was there as well.  The only thing I can say that was really lacking -- because it was certainly entertaining and lively -- was the technique... But you know what Mark?  You're hanging in there and I really appreciate what you brought tonight."

Fellow Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli said it was the couple's "most entertaining dance to date" but added "technically," Mark is "not Fred Astaire."  Judge Len Goodman agreed.

"Well Mark it was entertaining, I must say that, and that is one of the qualities you want in the samba," said Len.  "But what I would do is get the lamp, rub it hard, and hope that genie sorts your feet out.  You've got to get them feet turned out."

Dancing with the Stars' fifth week of competition marked the second time Mark and Kym were members of the bottom two and it was also the third time they were at least tied for one of the two lowest scores from the judges.  While home viewer votes had been enough to save them in previous weeks -- that wasn't the case this week -- and Mark seemed at peace with the situation before his ouster was even revealed.

"It's out of my control now," Mark told Dancing with the Stars co-host Samantha Harris during last night's broadcast.  "We're out there, I'm just enjoying every minute of it, just appreciating being here, and enjoying all these great people."

Mark didn't go home completely empty-handed, as he told Tom that he lost "about 30-something pounds" through participating in the competition.

Only a week after finding themselves in the bottom two, Spice Girl Melanie Brown and professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were atop the judges' leader board following Monday night's broadcast, scoring a 29 out of 30 possible points.  Hot on their heels were Disney's The Cheetah Girls star Sabrina Bryan and professional partner Mark Ballas with a 28.

In the middle of the pack were All My Children actor Cameron Mathison and professional partner Edyta Sliwinska as well as Jane and Tony, both of whom scored a 26.  Former Beverly Hills 90210 actress Jennie Garth and professional partner Derek Hough scored a 25, and just behind them were IndyCar racer Helio Castroneves and professional partner Julianne Hough with a 23.

Entertainer Marie Osmond and her professional partner Jonathan Roberts tied Mark and Kym for the week's lowest judges' score with a 21.  However Marie fainted following the couple's samba routine during Monday night's performance episode, presumably scoring her some sympathy support from home viewers and keeping her out of the bottom two.

"I want to thank everyone for the thousands of emails," said Marie during last night's broadcast, adding she's feeling fine.  "Oh my gosh... I so love you all!"

Dancing with the Stars 5's sixth performance episode will air live on Monday, October 29 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, with each of the seven remaining pairs dancing a couples routine as well as participating in the season's first group number, which will be a rock 'n roll-themed routine.

On Tuesday, October 30 at 9PM ET/PT, another couple will be eliminated from the competition based on a combination of the judges' scores and home viewer votes.
