Luke Pell will reportedly be the next star of The Bachelor barring a snag.

Reports have been circulating for weeks Pell and Chase McNary are the frontrunners to become The Bachelor's next star, but according to an Us Weekly source, Pell has emerged as producers' top pick for the Season 21 role.

"It's looking like Luke right now as the next Bachelor," the source said. "But there are a couple others on the back burner in case he doesn't work out."

The guys on "the back burner" are reportedly JoJo Fletcher's runner-up Robby Hayes and Wells Adams, another suitor from the latest edition of The Bachelorette.

Luke, a 31-year-old war veteran, played his cards right on The Bachelorette. Not only did he prove himself to be genuine, respectful and romantic, but he also has a chiseled body women swoon over.

Even Fletcher couldn't help but gush over the amazing physical chemistry she had with the cowboy. Pell also managed to stay away from drama surrounding Chad Johnson as well as escape unflattering rumors in the press regarding his past or intentions.

Pell also had one of the saddest goodbyes of the season. He was blindsided in a Los Angeles airport hangar right after Fletcher met his family and about 50 of his closest friends in Burnet, TX.

So why did Fletcher dump him? Besides being smitten with winner Jordan Rodgers from the start, Pell failed to say, "I love you," when Fletcher needed to hear those three words the most. Fletcher has owned the fact she craves words of affirmation in a relationship.

Fletcher recently pointed out to reporters how Pell has received overwhelming support from America and she's earned herself a ton of heat for eliminating him. Those signs point to Pell being the favorite for the next Bachelor.

In a late July interview with Entertainment Tonight that took place backstage at The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All, Pell confessed if the opportunity to be the next Bachelor presented itself, he "definitely would not pass on it."
