Melissa Alatorre, Lindsay Furman, Natalie Korzon, Cina Luks, Tara Locke, and Jenny Blatt were eliminated after none of Love in the Wild's six second-season men opted to select them at the third Couples Choice Ceremony.

"I definitely don't like getting my heart broken and putting myself out there completely, and I did put my heart on the line for [partner Benjamin Clark] from the beginning. But I just wanted to feel wanted and fall in love -- didn't happen -- so I really don't have anything negative to say to Ben, but, 'You're a f-cking idiot for not liking me,'" Jenny B. joked following her ouster. "I'm a catch!"

"[Jesse Wilson], I feel like if I have to say one last thing to you, it would basically be, 'You're just pathetic and basically, you're just going to suck for the rest of your life! The end," Tara said after she was eliminated.

Love in the Wild's third episode began following the eliminations of Tim Parrish and Shauna Dillard at the season's second Couples Choice Ceremony. After introducing six new "surprise" women, who would be entering the game, to the six remaining already-established couples, host Jenny McCarthy explained how the twist was going to work.

Similar to the season's premiere episode in which the women each got to choose two men to take on their first jungle adventure, Jenny McCarthy revealed each man would also get to select a second female contestant from the six previously unseen additional women who were called into the ceremony. Since it was a surprise, the selection order of the round of picking was based on the couples' finish order determined at the end of the prior adventure.

Since "Chase" Aaron Chase, a 28-year-old from San Diego, CA who currently resides in Newport Beach, CA, finished the previous adventure in first place with Ali Leitza, a 33-year-old from Little Rock, AR who currently resides in North Little Rock, AR, he got to select amongst the six new women first and opted to form a trio with Jenna Gillund, a 23-year-old from Chicago, IL who currently resides in Dallas, TX.

For coming in second place with Summer Mack, a 32-year-old from Satellite Beach, FL who currently resides in Indian Harbour Beach, FL, Ryan Smith, a 27-year-old from Boise, ID who currently resides in San Francisco, CA, picked Natalie, a 24-year-old from Ann Arbor, MI who currently resides in Santa Monica, CA.

Jesse, a 33-year-old from Oakdale, CA, who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA, who was already paired up with Tara, a 26-year-old from Arlington Heights, IL who currently resides in Miami Beach, FL, chose to take on the next adventure with Melissa, a 23-year-old from San Diego, CA who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Jason Ewell, a 25-year-old from Dublin, CA, and partner Cina, a 22-year-old from San Lorenzo, CA, ended up with Vanessa Ramirez, a 30-year-old from Phoenix, AZ, as the third member of their trio.

Kenneth Barrington, a 33-year-old from Peoria, IL, who currently resides in Miami Beach, FL -- who had already formed a strong connection with Yanina Beccaria, a 33-year-old from Rosario, Argentina, who currently resides in Chicago, IL -- picked Lindsay, a 29-year-old from Spring Lake, NJ who currently resides in Philadelphia, PA, to join them.

Lastly, Michelle Sacco, a 26-year-old from Rome, GA who currently resides in Atlanta, GA, automatically got placed with Jenny Blatt, a 27-year-old from Philadelphia, PA, and Ben, a 27-year-old from Chesterfield, England, who currently resides in Monroe, NC, since she was the last of the six "surprise" female contestants remaining.

After the selections were done, the newly-formed threesomes went off to their sleeping arrangements and had to awkwardly spend the night together. The new girls were already starting to have an impact on the original female contestants, most of whom felt close with and became attached to their males partners.

Jenny B. claimed her territory right off the bat, telling Michelle how tight of a bond she had with Ben. Jason admitted he was a little more attracted to Vanessa than he was Cina, while Jesse felt he "could do a little bit better" than Tara and therefore wanted to get to know all the girls and scope out his options.

Jenny B. ended up breaking down and crying because if she and Ben were to win the next adventure, she didn't want to share the oasis opportunity with Michelle. She wanted Ben all to herself and feared Michelle would get in the way of their romance.

The following day, the six trios competed in their third adventure challenge, which was the first adventure overall for the six "surprise" girls. The challenge required them to look amongst palm trees for a lantern containing a map, explore a cave, figure out a numeral code to open a chest containing a separate map, and search for an amber in the sand.

However, in a Love in the Wild twist, each trio was forced to be shackled together for the entire adventure by leg cuffs.

In the end, Ben, Jenny B. and Michelle finished the whole course in first place. They were followed by Ken, Yanina and Lindsay in second place, and then Ryan, Summer and Natalie in third. Jason, Cina and Vanessa finished their adventure in fourth, while Chase, Ali and Jenna crossed the finish line fifth. Jesse, Tara and Melissa unfortunately came in sixth -- and last -- place.

For coming in first, Ben, Jenny B. and Michelle won the right to stay at the luxurious Oasis private villa, as well as an afternoon cruise on a private first-class sailboat, while the remaining teams received increasingly rougher accommodations based upon their order of finish. Jesse, Tara and Melissa were forced to sleep overnight in a crude lean-to shelter which only offered mosquito netting to protect them.

All of the singles then spent time getting to know their partners and other prospective suitors better. Jenny B. was disappointed she had share her special time with Ben when Michelle was in the picture at the oasis, but the three individuals still ended up having fun.

Meanwhile, at the cabins, Ali led a prank against the new "surprise" girls by hiding their towels. Chase thought it was an immature and catty move, and it made him look at Ali in a negative light. However, Jesse was gaining feelings for Ali, as the duo found a little time to chat and realized there was an attraction there.

Following Ben, Jenny B. and Michelle's cruise, Ben discovered he was clicking with both girls and thought Michelle had more going on inside her head than just a voluptuous outward appearance. Chase and Summer were also beginning to hit it off and form a connection, while Jenna and Ryan talked for a bit and asked each other some questions.

Jesse then told Tara they didn't really "mesh" well together, which apparently came as a complete shock to Tara. She rolled her eyes at him and called the entire situation "so messed up." Tara admitted she had "intimate relations" with Jesse, which seemed to make her rejection more hurtful.

While Jesse and Tara were failing to get along, Ken and Yanina were doing the exact opposite and were building on the foundation of their relationship. They clearly just wanted to spend time with each other without Lindsay. Jason was also chatting it up with Vanessa whenever he got the window of opportunity.

Later on, Love in the Wild's third second-season Couples' Choice Ceremony commenced.

Since Ben's trio had won the adventure challenge, he was allowed select any of the 12 women as his partner and they would be unable to decline his selection. He opted to dump Jenny B. and select keep Michelle much to Jenny B.'s surprise and disappointment.

After Ben revealed his decision, the rest of the guys would have the first say given the fact the women got to make all the choices first the previous week. The male contestants were told they must choose one girl out of their two partners to stay with, but then after all the couples went, each man would have another opportunity to switch their partner from one of the six girls left in the "unmatched area."

Ken got to go next and chose to stay with Yanina over Lindsay. Ryan then opted to pair up with Natalie and send Summer to the unmatched area. It then became Jason's turn and he decided to take on the next adventure with Vanessa, leaving Cina without a match. Chase then selected Ali over Jenna, but it was obvious Chase had Summer in mind.

Lastly, Jesse chose to stay with Tara and cut Melissa against Tara's wishes. It was apparent Jesse wanted a shot with Ali.

After the first round of picks concluded, the six men -- not including Ben because he originally got to pick out of all the girls -- had the opportunity to eliminate the first girl they chose and choose from either Jenny B., Lindsay, Summer, Cina, Jenna, or Melissa.

The only men that changed their minds were Ryan -- who picked Jenna and dumped Natalie -- Chase, who asked Summer to be his partner over Ali, and finally Jesse. Jesse opted to become a couple with Ali and forced Tara into the "unmatched area" as a result. Tara was furious and announced Jesse was "fake as hell" to the group.
