The couples who star on the spinoff are the love triangle of Megan, Michael, and Sarah; Clint and Tracie; Marcelino and Brittany; Scott and Lizzie; and Andrea and Lamar.

These couples, whether together or estranged, will continue to "face parole restrictions, temptation, and turbulence in their lives outside of prison walls," according to WE tv.

Former inmates Tracie, Brittany, Michael, Lizzie and Lamar will also be shown facing new challenges throughout the course of the season -- from raising children and buying first homes to finding work and trying to stay sober.

Below is the latest on each couple, love triangle or exes, according to Friday's Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup broadcast:

BRITTANY and MARCELINO

Marcelino, a 40-year-old poker player from Las Vegas, NV, was married to Brittany, a 28-year-old homemaker from Las Vegas, when the show filmed. They recently welcomed their first child together.

Brittany was "devastated" the morning after her best friend Sascha's sentencing because Sascha would be facing a minimum of 10 years in prison.

Brittany told Marcelino that she wanted Sascha to be their baby's godmother, but Marcelino said if Sascha was in prison, she wouldn't actually be able to be there for their child if something was to happen.

Marcelino said Sascha might have "a good redemption story" but Brittany's story was enough of an obstacle to overcome. Brittany argued she trusted Sascha and they were two strong-willed women.

Brittany said Sascha becoming a godmother to Zoila would give her hope in prison and make her feel like she's part of a family.

Marcelino felt Brittany was "making a mistake in judgment," especially because Brittany was hoping to achieve custody of her son. Brittany had been previously warned hanging out with felons would hurt her case and make her look bad.

Brittany was going to make Sascha the godmother whether Marcelino liked it or not.

Marcelino later spent some time with his mother and Brittany's son Giovanni at the playground, and Marcelino told Victoria about Brittany's desire to make Sascha godmother to Zoila.

Although Victoria loved Brittany, she thought that was a horrible idea. Victoria didn't think Sascha could be there for Marcelino's daughter since she's in prison, and she told Marcelino to protect his family.

Marcelino wanted to fight for custody of Giovanni, saying the little boy meant the world to him. Marcelino found it heart-crushing that Giovanni couldn't live with him.

SCOTT and LIZZIE

Scott, a 51-year-old trucker driver from Oxnard, CA, and Lizzie, a 41-year-old from Portage, WI, had parted ways last season. But both individuals clearly still liked and cared for each other.

When Scott and Lizzie were spending a day at the beach in California, he decided to give her the engagement ring he had once proposed marriage with. Scott said she could wear it as a promise ring but he'd marry her "in a heartbeat."

Lizzie didn't seem interested in getting married, so Scott flipped out and worried Lizzie was embarrassed of him.

Lizzie insisted that wasn't the case, but then Scott tempted to throw the $4,000 ring into the ocean. (The show made it look like Scott did actually throw the ring and then Lizzie was able to find it when it washed up on shore).

The couple, however, hugged it out and kissed. Lizzie wanted to make their relationship work, but she explained that wearing a ring doesn't mean she belongs to him.

Lizzie and Scott agreed to start over, and Lizzie wanted to take things one day at a time.

Once Lizzie returned to Scott's place, she found a "dope" spoon used for heating cocaine. Lizzie said Scott did drugs in his twenties, but she suddenly questioned whether he was still using.

Scott thought Lizzie's allegations were crazy given he could use any spoon to make a drug mixture, but Lizzie had specific parole restrictions and no intention of violating them.

Lizzie told the cameras that if Scott was using, she'd leave him immediately.

MEGAN, MICHAEL and SARAH

Megan, a 29-year-old who works in home health care, was still dating Michael, a 27-year-old rapper who was married to Sarah, a 24-year-old server, at the time of filming.

Sarah was on her way to the hospital to be induced. Meanwhile, Michael attempted to get a pass from his parole officer so he could travel from Michigan to New York to be there for his second child's birth.

Sarah admitted she was "extremely nervous and scared" to be a mother to two girls, but she was excited her daughters would have each other for the rest of their lives.

Sarah wished Michael could be there for the baby's birth, but she was pretty confident he wouldn't be allowed to come. And she was right, because Michael was denied the ability to travel.

When Sarah was in the hospital, she felt embarrassed she was about to give birth alone. Michael was close to breaking the rules in order to meet his new baby.

Michael wanted to be present for the birth of his child and then come right back to Michigan. He was furious and couldn't contain his anger.

Sarah later welcomed her daughter Rain, a name which Michael had come up with. Sarah said the baby looked like a 50/50 mix of Michael and herself and she was "gorgeous."

Sarah wished Michael could be with her and then informed him that she had welcomed a beautiful baby girl.

Michael saw his daughter for the first time via FaceTime, and he noted that she had Sarah's eyes. Michael was so happy in that moment and nearly cried.

"Thank you for giving birth to her," Michael told Sarah.

"You're welcome, but I didn't have much of a choice," she said with a laugh.

Michael admitted he "f-cked up" because this was his second chance to be there for Sarah but his parole violation prevented him from meeting his daughter.

Michael was then shown crying and telling the cameras he'd "make it up" to Sarah.

Meanwhile, Megan was waiting to hear from Michael after Michael learned she had kissed one of his friends.

Michael sent Megan a picture of his new baby, and while she thought the little girl was cute, Megan knew a new baby would probably cause more problems between Michael and herself.

Michael told Megan that his focus was to become a good father for Rain and he had a lot of pent up emotions. Michael told Megan he had no desire to reconcile with Sarah, but Megan had her concerns.

"I want to know, 'Will he do what he says?' It's like a double punch to the gut," Megan told the cameras.

ANDREA and LAMAR

Andrea, a 39-year-old Mormon property manager, was married to Lamar, a 42-year-old student and rapper, at the time of filming.

Andrea decided to spend a day with Lamar's family because there was "a wall in the middle" of their relationship. She wanted to compromise in order to make her husband happy, but Andrea believed Lamar's family was a bad influence on him.

Lamar was happy his wife was being supportive, but the second she walked into the gathering at Lamar's brother's house, everyone was smoking and high. Andrea was not okay with marijuana and alcohol.

Andrea decided to leave because she was uncomfortable and unhappy. Given Andrea mentors young women and advises them to avoid that type of environment, she didn't want to be viewed as a hypocrite and compromise her integrity.

Andrea refused to enter "a weed house" ever again, but Lamar was frustrated his wife was unhappy with his lifestyle and family members. Lamar called Andrea's behavior "draining" and stressful.

Andrea said Lamar didn't understand how she felt and she needed to associate with people who are like herself.

"You are changing and showing your true colors," Andrea told her husband, adding that she wanted him to see her "better quality of life" in Utah that she had left behind for Lamar.

Andrea therefore determined she and Lamar should take a trip to Utah together.

Lamar argued he had made sacrifices for her as well, such as returning home once he became a free man to just settle into a daily routine right away with a wife and three kids.

Andrea hoped Lamar would want to move to Utah after checking it out, but Lamar apparently had no desire to do so.

CLINT and TRACIE

Clint is a 38-year-old assistant manager from Hobbs, NM, who was married to Tracie, a 38-year-old who spent nine months behind bars for fraudulent checks and probation violation, at the time of filming.

Clint and Tracie took off to Las Vegas to have some fun, but Clint was upset and in a bad mood.

Not only did Clint hate flying, but he felt "a little guilty" about something that had been going on.

Clint hadn't been completely honest with Tracie, as he had been talking to another girl while they were having issues.

"It's such a huge weight on my shoulders," Clint told the cameras.

Tracie was annoyed Clint was so uptight and quiet. He was also bothered by the fact Tracie had taken off with his money and car the last time they spent a night together in Las Vegas.

Tracie insisted she'd run off and have fun in Vegas by herself if Clint couldn't adjust his attitude and let loose.

Suddenly, Tracie discovered texts from a woman named Stephanie. Tracie couldn't believe Clint was "sexting" with another woman, and she demanded answers.

"How could you do this to me?! Why would you do this to me?!" Tracie yelled.

Tracie flipped out and took Clint's phone into the bathroom. She locked him out, and Clint screamed about Tracie returning his phone.

Clint and Tracie then kicked the cameras out of their hotel suite.
