Lindsey Stirling has suffered a severe injury that may prevent her from competing on Dancing with the Stars for the rest of the season.

The internationally-recognized violinist is supposed to take the stage with her professional partner Mark Ballas on the upcoming Monday, October 30 Halloween episode of Dancing with the Stars, but a devastating injury might rob her of the competition.

A Dancing with the Stars representative told Entertainment Tonight that 31-year-old Lindsey experienced a "blunt rib injury and possible separation" during rehearsal.

It remains to be seen whether Lindsey will be able to dance again on Season 25.

In a video clip obtained by ET of Lindsey sitting in a doctor's office with Mark by her side, the musician became very emotional.

"I'm going to be so mad if, like, I've blown it. We've worked so hard," Lindsey said in tears.

"This is definitely not an ideal day for this to happen," Mark confessed to cameras. "It's never an ideal day to have an injury, but today is Sunday -- it's the day before we perform. We perform tomorrow, so this is kind of, really nerve-wracking."

Mark was then shown telling Lindsey to breathe through her pain, relax and allow him to help her during this time of need.

"I push, push, push all the time. That's how I've gotten to where I'm at," Lindsey explained while getting choked up. "I'm just so afraid that I might've pushed too far."

Lindsey then asked Mark what her fate on the show will be if she can't dance in the next Halloween performance show.

"What happens if I say I can't go out there anymore? What happens?" Lindsey asked Mark in the video clip.

"You will be forced to forfeit," Mark replied. "And that will be it."

TMZ reported that Lindsey got rushed to the hospital immediately following her injury and the pain she felt was extreme.

The news is very unfortunate, as Dancing with the Stars frontrunners Lindsey and Mark just received the first perfect score of the season last week with their science-fiction themed Argentine tango for "A Night at the Movies" theme.
