Jodie Sweetin is following in the footsteps of Candace Cameron Bure and joining Dancing with the Stars' upcoming 22nd season, Us Weekly reported.

Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, was Bure's co-star in Full House, as Bure is well known for her role as older sister DJ Tanner. Bure competed on Season 18 of DWTS with pro partner Mark Ballas and finished in third place.

Sweetin previously told NJ.com she started dancing when she was three-years-old.

"I don't know if you called what I did great dancing, but it was fun," said the 34-year-old actress and mother of two. "The girls I danced with in [Full House] were girls I actually trained with in the studio. So I danced outside the show and they sort of incorporated that as part of the character for Stephanie."

According to a source, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin -- who played Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky respectively on Full House -- "turned down" the opportunity to appear on Dancing with the Stars.

A spinoff of Full House, dubbed Fuller House, will begin streaming on Netflix February 26.

Dancing with the Stars' next edition premieres Monday, March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
