Fox has announced the twelfth season of Hell's Kitchen starring Chef Gordon Ramsay will premiere Thursday, March 13 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Hell's Kitchen's debut will immediately be followed by American Idol's next thirteenth-season live results show in its new timeslot at 9PM ET/PT. Beginning on March 27, Idol's results shows will only be half-hour long broadcasts.

In the twelfth-season premiere of Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay will split his batch of 20 aspiring restaurateurs into two teams, men vs. women, and require them to present their signature dishes. The winning team will be rewarded with an exclusive dinner with Ramsay, while the losing team will be forced to scrub down the kitchen.

During each Hell's Kitchen episode, the losing team in the challenge must put two contestants on the chopping block, and then Ramsay will eliminate one chef. After weeks of cooking challenges and dinner services, the two finalists will then compete head-to-head in attempt to impress Ramsay one last time and win the grand prize.

Hell's Kitchen is produced by ITV Studios America in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions, with Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Ramsay serving as executive producers.
