Hannah Simone says paparazzi once mistook her for Kim Kardashian.
"I remember when I first moved to L.A. [from Toronto] eight or nine years ago, I was coming out of a restaurant and I had my bangs and a high ponytail, and I guess Kim Kardashian had just cut bangs," Simone said.
"I wasn't on a show, nothing. I was just walking down the street. All of a sudden this herd of paparazzi are screaming, 'Kim!' and started chasing me down the road. I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know who Kim was," she recounted.
Simone is known for playing Cece Parekh on the Fox series "New Girl," and for hosting the network's new reality competition "Kicking & Screaming."
The show sees 10 teams of expert survivalists and pampered contestants overcome challenges in the jungles of Fiji."I was very grateful I was just hosting the show, because they really put those people out in the jungle," the actress told Access Hollywood.
"It's really almost like a social game because they've taken people who are experts at living out in the wild -- so they're super comfortable -- and they've taken people that haven't even gone glamping -- like, that would be a nightmare for them -- and they pair them together. They have to survive each other and the jungle," she said.
"New Girl" co-stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Damon Wayans, Jr., and airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
