Gwen Stefani clearly feels confident enough in her relationship with Blake Shelton now to talk about him to the press.

Stefani, 46, admitted on Tuesday's broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live her new single "Make Me Like You" is inspired by her country-singing boyfriend.

When Kimmel flat out asked if the song is about Shelton, 39, the No Doubt songstress replied, "It is actually. Yeah."

"Yeah," Stefani continued. "I will admit, that song is about that guy. Yeah."

Lyrics of the song include: "Why'd you have to go and make me like you? I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you."

Stefani then gushed on the talk show about how her life recently took a drastic turn for the better.

"What's so crazy is sometimes tragedy, if you really absorb it, you can turn it into something beautiful," Stefani explained, referencing her divorce from Gavin Rossdale before she began dating Shelton in late October.

"And this whole album is really about just trying to take something that was awful and just, I don't know, healing from it and then turning it into something beautiful."

Stefani filmed the music video for "Make Me Life You" live during commercial breaks of the Grammy Awards.

"I can't believe that happened," Stefani told Kimmel. "That was a trip."

The video, which Stefani started preparing for in December, featured the pop-rock icon roller skating and changing costume multiple times.

Stefani also wanted her fans to know that she didn't actually fall during the video. She had a stunt double take a spill while roller skating so people would freak out thinking it was a mistake that happened live.

The music video also featured a neon "Blake" sign, which Stefani sarcastically called "just a coincidence" and so "weird."
