A Florida appeals court ruled Monday that Anna Nicole Smith's body can't be moved until a challenge from her estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, is heard.

The Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal agreed to hear Arthur's request to overturn a Broward County judge's decision to give Smith's body to her 5-month-old daughter and her court-appointed guardian, TMZ.com said. The guardian decided Smith should be buried in the Bahamas next to her son, who died in September.
Arthur earlier filed a motion with Broward County Judge Larry Seidlin, asking him to stay his ruling, which would block the burial in the Bahamas. He denied the request.
Arthur said she wants custody of the body so it can be buried in Texas, Smith's home state.
Smith died of unknown causes Feb. 8 in a Florida hospital where she was taken after being found unresponsive in her hotel room.
