"[Winning] would completely change my life. I wouldn't be poor!" J Rome laughed prior to Duets host Quddus revealing his victory.

J Rome was declared the winner of Duets after Quddus announced he had received the most home viewer votes following last week's live performance show -- which had featured the competition's three remaining contestants performing solo songs in addition to duets with celebrity partners and established recording artists John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, and Robin Thicke. For winning, J Rome walked away with a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

John Glosson received the second highest number of votes and therefore finished in the runner-up spot.

"[It would] mean everything [to win]. You know, I thought my life was set and here we go, here's something new! Let's hit it," John said before learning his fate.

Jason Farol came in third place.

J Rome and John had both been partnered with Jennifer, while Jason had been partnered with Kelly.

During last week's penultimate performance show, Jennifer And J Rome sang "Breakeven" together and then J Rome followed it with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" for his solo song.

John Glosson and Jennifer took the stage and sang "The Prayer" together, while John returned for his solo number in which he performed "Bless the Broken Road" afterwards.

Jason and Kelly performed "Me & Mrs. Jones" for their duet, and then Jason sang "Runaway Baby" for his solo.
