Beginning October 14, Dirty Jobs' new episodes will also serve as the lead-in for Toughest Race on Earth: Iditarod, a new six-episode reality series that will follow seven of the mushers and sled dog teams that competed in this year's Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

In addition to Dirty Jobs' return and Iditarod's premiere, Discovery also announced that Prototype This, a new series where an expert team will try to create prototypes of new ideas, will premiere on Wednesday, October 15 at 10PM ET/PT and Storm Chasers' second season will debut on Sunday, October 19 at 10PM ET/PT.
