Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough feel that their Dancing with the Stars partnership helped add some fire to their romantic relationship.

"It brought a little spark to the relationship, which was nice," said Wicks during a Tuesday night Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance that followed his Dancing with the Stars ouster. "We've had more arguments dancing together than we ever had as a couple."

"It kind of gave us passion," added Hough.  "It was kind of fun."

The country crooner and his professional partner and real-life girlfriend became the eighth couple booted from Dancing with the Stars' eighth season during last night's live results show broadcast on ABC.

"This was a lot of fun.  We had a great time," said Wicks.  "She's a wonderful teacher.  I had no idea what I was getting into because I had never danced in my life.  It was fun."

Hough said that she's known by her fellow Dancing with the Stars professionals as a teacher who likes to "crack the whip," however she said that wasn't the case with Wicks.

"I kind of let him get away with a lot," she told Kimmel.

The couple Hough began dating last summer while both were participating in Brad Paisley's summer tour, and they recounted the first time they met during their Kimmel appearance.

"I saw her walk in the door and I was like, 'Man, who is that girl?'" said Wicks.  "My pick-up line was like, 'The catering is great.'  I don't know.  It worked.  The whole tour she kept parking the tour bus really close to mine."

Hough added she was the one who initiated the physical aspect of their relationship.

"I would have to say that the first kiss I went 90%," she said.

"I closed the deal," added Wicks.  "That is the most important thing."

While the couple has stated that they have discussed marriage in the past, Hough has also previously said they are "not in any rush" to get hitched.  Despite the fact that wedding bells might not be on the horizon, Wicks hinted that a country duet could be.

"We've been writing together a bunch.  We're both in the middle of making our second records," he told Kimmel.  "One step at a time.  We enjoy writing together."

Hough said the two will record a duet if it "happens naturally" -- so like a possible wedding, it too won't be rushed.

"We're not going to force anything," she said.
