Cheryl Burke is reportedly replacing Abby Lee Miller on Dance Moms after the no-nonsense instructor publicly announced she's quitting the show after seven seasons.

The 32-year-old Dancing with the Stars professional dancer will be joining the Lifetime reality series for the remainder of Dance Moms' seventh season, Entertainment Tonight reported.

According to a source, Dance Moms resumed filming on Wednesday, March 29 and has been picked up for an additional four episodes.

"It's a go with or without Abby," the source told ET. "It's been up in the air because the network said it's either all of the cast or they weren't doing any [more episodes]."

Another insider added, "[Abby] bolted from [filming] three or four episodes recently," which reportedly prompted celebrity choreographer LaurieAnn Gibson to step into Miller's shoes and teach the young dancers.

Gibson reportedly taped for three weeks and was about to shoot a fourth episode when Miller returned with a list of demands -- including Gibson not being allowed on the set of Dance Moms -- if she was to continue working on the Lifetime series.

Burke, who served as a pro partner on Dancing with the Stars for 19 seasons, will now take over for Gibson.

Miller, 50, was "spiraling," according to one of ET's sources, "and making decisions that most people would think are not smart."

On Monday, Miller announced her resignation through an irate statement she posted on Instagram.

"The majority of children that follow me may be fast asleep, however now is the critical time to make the following statement: I WILL NO LONGER TAKE PART IN DANCE MOMS. FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS/ SEVEN SEASONS I HAVE ASKED, BEGGED, AND EVEN DEMANDED CREATIVE CREDIT FOR ALL THE IDEAS, AWARD WINNING ROUTINES, THEMES, AND COSTUMING - TO NO AVAIL!... I don't have a problem working with any kid, I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people's children successful!" Miller captioned a photo of herself posing with a handful of young dancers.

"I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING MANIPULATED, DISRESPECTED, AND USED - DAY IN AND DAY OUT BY MEN WHO NEVER TOOK A DANCE LESSON IN THEIR LIVES AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE DIRT! #dancemoms #season7 #ALDC #aldcalways #newbeginnings #aldcla #alllovedancecourage."

Miller discussed reports of Burke potentially taking over her Dance Moms job in an interview with E! News.

"If [Cheryl] had to go what I go through every day, I would be flipping thrilled that somebody else in the entertainment industry who has the career that she has had on Dancing with the Stars, with the costume makers on Dancing with the Stars, with the producers on Dancing with the Stars, and then had to step down to this? Oh, honey," Miller quipped.

Miller suggested Burke would never put up with everything the longtime Dance Moms star has endured.

"I think they will treat her differently," Miller told the website of Burke. "I think everybody will be on their toes. I think that Lifetime will pour a ton of money into advertising because they want to prove that I was nothing and I was nobody and they saved me."
