Carson Daly's stepfather Richard Caruso dies one month after his mother

Carson Daly announced on Instagram that stepfather Richard Caruso has died five weeks after the death of his mother, Pattie Daly Caruso.
"Pops passed away today with absolute dignity & pride. The greatest man we ever knew. Our hero," "The Voice" host wrote Tuesday alongside a photo of Richard smiling.
"He exemplified great faith, loyalty to family & hard work. He provided us all with so much. We're grateful. His legacy lives on in all of us & anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him," Daly continued.
"He's reunited with mom now. Our faith remains strong. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers."
Richard had been battling bone cancer, "Today" noted. Pattie died at the age of 71 in September.
Pattie had two children with her first husband Jim Daly, including Carson and his sister Quinn, before Jim died from bladder cancer. She then married Richard.
"I always say that God blessed me with two incredible dads," Carson previously said.
