The Real Housewives of Miami is rising from the dead.

Bravo has announced it has picked up a second season of The Real Housewives of Miami.

The second season of The Real Housewives of Miami -- which the network had originally ordered and filmed as Miami Social Club in 2010 before rebranding under The Real Housewives franchise when it premiered in February 2011 -- will feature returning first-season Housewives Marysol Patton, Lea Black and Audriana de Moura.

While Bravo has yet to reveal the identities of the remaining cast members who will appear on the revamped series, former first-season Housewives Alexia Echevarria, Cristy Rice and Larsa Pippen will not apparently be returning for the upcoming edition.

The Real Housewives of Miami's next season will continue to follow a group of women in town who attempt to juggle family, work and the city's social scene.

Although the show's first season was produced by MC Filmworks, the network has announced the second edition is being produced by Purveyors of Pop with Matt Anderson and Nate Green serving as executive producers.

Purveyors of Pop is the same production company behind the Atlanta, New Jersey and New York installments of The Real Housewives franchise as well as Bethenny Frankel's Bethenny Ever After reality series.

The Real Housewives of Miami's first season delivered mediocre ratings during its seven-episode run early last year. And while Bravo had never formally confirmed the series' cancellation, it had been widely assumed given almost a year had elapsed without a renewal announcement.
