The Big Brother broadcast began with the Final 5 reeling from two evictions: Kelley Jorgensen and Lauren Domingue.

Ava lamented about how the only person she had left in the house whom she could trust was Ashley Hollis.

Keanu tried to buddy up with Ava and Ashley in order to protect himself, but he was also hoping he could work with Vince going forward and "run the table" together.

Ashley, for her part, told the Big Brother cameras that she wanted to take Morgan out next because she thought Morgan was the strongest person still in the game. As a result, Ashley liked the idea of working with Ava and Keanu.

Ava and Ashley also secured a Final 2 deal.

The houseguests then gathered in the Big Brother living room, where the "Mastermind" said he'd be taking over the game.

The Mastermind explained how he'd be sending one person to the jury before Julie Chen Moonves' next live eviction. The Mastermind said there would be a normal Head of Household competition, nominations and a Veto up for grabs, all leading up to a unique eviction vote.

"But how and when will these events unfold? Well, that's a mystery. You'll never know when my mayhem will manifest," the Mastermind warned the houseguests.

"So I recommend you be ready day and night. The next few days will challenge you like never before and will culminate with one of you becoming my latest sacrifice... You will battle to save your pathetic lives."

Morgan explained in the Big Brother Diary Room how Keanu was gunning for her and so she needed to watch out for him, but Ashley also apparently had her eye on taking Morgan down.

Once a bell chimed, the players entered a dark room that was only lit up by candles, and they had to compete in a "Tortuous Trial" HoH competition.

For the competition, each player was required to press a mask against an altar with a fencing sword. The goal was to keep pressure on the mask and hold it into place without letting it fall. The last player standing would become the new HoH.

Morgan, as the outgoing HoH, was deemed ineligible to compete.

Ava was the first houseguest to drop out of the endurance competition, and then she was followed by Ashley, who dropped her mask nearly 30 minutes in.

While Vince and Keanu were facing off against each other, Keanu pitched the idea of throwing the Veto to him so that Vince would have a Veto on his resume.

Keanu also reminded Vince how Morgan was a big threat and he could take her out without Vince getting blood on his hands.

But Vince said he wanted to win this one for himself, and so he didn't give up.

After nearly an hour of competition, Vince won the challenge and was crowned the new Head of Household.

"I need to make a big move," Vince told the Big Brother cameras.

Keanu hoped Vince was going to turn on his No. 1 ally, Morgan, but Morgan was optimistic the rest of her "The Judges" alliance -- Ashley, Vince and herself -- were going to make the Final 3.

Morgan was hoping to make their former allies, Rachel Reilly and Cliffton "Will" Williams, very proud.

Ava, meanwhile, anticipated she was going to get sent to the jury house next.

Prior to Nominations, Keanu told Vince that Morgan was "a lock to win" the game if she made it to the end. This wasn't Vince's first time hearing this.

Keanu told Vince that if he took a shot at Morgan, he'd have a shot to win Big Brother. Keanu explained to Vince how removing such a huge treat would really boost his resume and earn respect from the jury.

Vince also didn't like the narrative that Morgan was controlling his HoH reigns. He acknowledged that moving forward in the game with Morgan by his side was "taking a $750,000 gamble."

At Nominations, Vince announced he had decided to nominate Ava and Keanu "for sacrifice."

Vince explained how he only had four options and these two seemed to make "the most sense" to him at this point in the game.

"I wish everyone luck in Veto tomorrow, and we'll see how it plays out," Vince declared.

Vince told the Big Brother cameras it was time to get rid of Keanu because he was "a huge threat to win this game." Vince said he wanted to be the one to take out Keanu on his HoH.

"Here we go again! Vinny loves making second-place moves," Keanu vented in a confessional.

"Dude, stop playing Morgan's game. It's ironic that the only person you're loyal to is the person you're going to lose to in the end! Thanks to proving to me, yet again, that I'm all alone and I need to do this by myself."
