Big Brother featured Felicia Cannon, Jared Fields, Kirsten Elwin, and Cory Wurtenberger getting nominated for eviction -- BEFORE the first HoH competition -- and Survivor legend Cirie Fields joining the show as a houseguest during the Season 25 live premiere Wednesday night on CBS.

Cory, a 21-year-old college student from Weston, FL; Felicia, a 63-year-old real estate agent from Tacoma, WA who currently resides in Kennesaw, GA; Jared, a 25-year-old exterminator from Norwalk, CT; and Kirsten, a 25-year-old molecular biologist from Orlando, FL, via Dominica who currently resides in Houston, TX, were all nominated for eviction after they each lost one of four competitions during the live premiere.

The four houseguests were nominated for eviction as part of the big twist for Big Brother's 25th season.

The theme of the show's anniversary season is the "BB Multiverse," which is split into four dimensions: Scary-verse, Comic-verse, Humili-verse, and Scramble-verse.

Scary-verse has a creepy and frightening feel to it, Comic-verse resembles the famous BB Comics, Humili-verse has embarrassing and ridiculous aspects to it, and Scramble-verse mixes up Big Brother's rules and format.

The houseguests were subjected to Scramble-verse implications during the premiere.

Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves explained to the houseguests how they were not going to compete in the traditional first Head of Household competition of the summer. Instead, the first competition was going to be a nomination competition.

The 16 houseguests were divided into four groups, and then each group had to compete in a competition inspired by one of the BB verses.

"The loser of each of these four competitions will be nominated for eviction and could be the first to leave the Big Brother house," Julie explained. "For the first time ever, nominees will be named before a Head of Household is even crowned."

The Scramble competition featured Jared; America Lopez, a 27-year-old medical receptionist from Edinburg, TX who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY; Bowie Jane, a 45-year-old barrister and DJ from Melbourne, Australia who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA; and Mecole Hayes, a 30-year-old political consultant from St. Louis, MO who currently resides in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Dubbed "Puzzling Headlines," the houseguests were required to disassemble a giant completed puzzle and run the pieces over to the other side, where they had to fit the pieces perfectly into a box.

The winner was America. Bowie Jane placed second, and Mecole finished third.

Jared was the fourth-place finisher and the Big Brother season's first nominee for eviction.

For the Humiliation competition, the competitors were Kirsten; Blue Kim, a 25-year-old brand strategist from Riverside, CA who currently resides in New York, NY; Hisam Goueli, a 45-year-old geriatric physician from Minneapolis, MN who currently resides in Seattle, WA; and Matt Klotz, a 27-year-old Deaflympics gold medalist from Cameron Park, CA who currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA.

The players were instructed to push and pull a heavy lever back and forth, causing a giant boot to kick them in the butt. For every pull, it counted as one point. The goal was to kick themselves in the butt 100 times as quickly as possible.

The winner was Matt, and Hisam placed second. Blue finished third in third place.

Kirsten was therefore the fourth-place finisher and the second eviction nominee.

The houseguests who competed in the Comic competition were Felicia; Cameron Hardin, a 34-year-old stay-at-home dad from Eastman, GA; Izzy Gleicher, a 32-year-old professional flutist from New York, NY; and Jag Bains, a 25-year-old truck company owner from Omak, WA.

The competition was called "Goo-Pocalypse" and tasked the houseguests with connecting four wires from the table to the "goo bomb," which already had two wires set in place. There was only one solution to connect all of the wires correctly.

If a "goo bomb" detonated and exploded, that houseguest would be deemed safe.

Jag's "goo bomb" went off first, and he was followed by Izzy second and then Cameron. Felicia placed fourth as a result and became the season's third nomination.

And finally, for the Scary competition, the following four houseguests participated: Cory; Luke Valentine, a 30-year-old illustrator from Weston, FL who currently resides in Coral Springs, FL; Reilly Smedley, a 24-year-old bartender from Portland, ME who currently resides in Nashville, TN; and Red Utley, a 37-year-old salesperson from Gatlinburg, TN.

The "Hold on Fright" competition required the four players to hold on for dear life while a pair of monster hands attempted to drag them each backwards into the "nether region."

The first person to be pulled backwards would become the fourth nominee and temporarily be removed from the game, for an unspecified amount of time.

"You will disappear for who knows how long into the nether region," Julie explained.

The four houseguests proved to be strong competitors, with Julie calling them "a fierce group" because they were able to hold on for so long.

But finally, Cory lost his grip and became the fourth nominee -- and then he was gone.

Once the 15 other houseguests returned to the house after the competitions concluded, Cirie, an iconic Survivor player, was waiting for them with poured glasses of champagne.

Cirie has competed on four Survivor seasons. She was a castaway on Survivor: Panama in 2006, Survivor: Micronesia in 2008, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in 2010, and Survivor: Game Changers in 2017.

Cirie finished Survivor: Panama in fourth place and Survivor: Micronesia in third place.

Cirie was quickly targeted and voted out of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains early in the game, placing seventeenth overall, but she moved up the ranks and finished in sixth place on her final Survivor stint in 2017.

Julie announced that Cirie will be competing on this Big Brother season, and she warned the houseguests to prepare for anything this summer.

Also during the premiere broadcast, Big Brother viewers got to know each of the houseguests a little better.

Jared confirmed that his mother is Cirie, who is known as "the best player to ever win." Cirie raised Jared as a single mom, and Jared also has two siblings.

"Staying out of a showmance is not going to be easy for me, but I've got to stay focused on the goal," Jared said.

In terms of his relationship with Cirie, Jared said, "I don't think telling the other houseguests about my mom is necessarily in my best interest. If they know her history and what she's capable of... [it might] ensure my one-way ticket out of the house."

Cory is studying Political Science and Communications at Vanderbilt to eventually become a lawyer, and he boasted about being a 17-time national champion in persuasive speaking.

"All Big Brother is, is the same question over and over again: Can you speak persuasively? It's what I do, and it's what I'm most excited about going into the house. And I'm a lot more physical than I look. I was a first-degree black belt," Cory said, adding how he's a Super Fan.

Felicia had been in the Air Force and received her Master's Degree at age 55. She insisted she's a Super Fan and that age is just a number.

Kirsten called herself "a baddy with brains" and she said her strategy was going to lay low and let her fellow houseguests think she's just a pretty face. Kirsten said she's a girls-girl who would love to enter an all-female alliance, but at the same time, she wouldn't mind finding "a super hot guy."

America is a first-generation American from Mexico and a Big Brother Super Fan. America struggled financially as a kid but graduated from Brown University in 2019 with a degree in Biology.

Blue shared how both of her parents emigrated from South Korea to California so that she could have a bigger and better life. She also said she's up for a showmance.

Bowie Jane said her specialty is money laundering and tax fraud. She said she has "a pretty good B-S meter" and is an excellent competitive tennis player.

Cameron had served in the Army and is a proud father who calls himself a hippie cowboy that "likes things to go boom." He is also obsessed with his long, curly hair -- which he calls Bertha -- and has watched every season of Big Brother.

Hisam also works as a cabaret and burlesque performer. He is apparently a proud gay and Muslim man who is "in love with life and wants to explore all of its possibilities."

Izzy boasted about how she's a professional flutist who lives with her partner of four years, Paige. Izzy said she gets "queerer and stronger" every day.

Jag grew up wearing a turban and faced many challenges growing up as a result. But Jag said he embraces his religion and culture now, and he looks forward to representing Sikhism on Big Brother.

Mecole was the youngest person on Capitol Hill at age 22. The newlywed's biggest accomplishment was drafting six federal policies that have been signed into law, ensuring $3 million kids across the country have access to healthy school meals.

Matt was born deaf and is currently training for the 2024 Olympics.

"Being deaf could be a big advantage on the show because I've learned how to lip read, and I'm definitely single. I've been single for a while. Bring on the showmance, I'm here for it!" Matt said.

Luke shared how fitness and nutrition is important to him but he's also a "nerd."

He added, "I'm an airhead, it's true. But it allows people to underestimate me. And if a showmance happens, it happens! I'm open to it."

Red said family is of the utmost importance to him and he desires financial stability for them. The former military man refers to himself as "a mountain fella" or "a chill-billy."

Reilly told the cameras she's an outgoing and bubbly girl who lost her dad to a rare cancer when she was 14-years-old. Reilly said she's not looking for a man but may go weak at the knees for a tall, brunette and muscular man.
