After Episode 5 of The Bachelor airs Tuesday, February 13, the show will resume on Monday nights beginning on February 19 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

The Bachelor viewers just watched Joey deepen his connection with Lexi Young, a 30-year-old digital strategist from Atlanta, GA, during a special one-on-one date in Malta. Lexi opened up about her battle with Endometriosis and how she may not be able to have children of her own one day.

Joey handled the news well and mentioned how there are other ways in which they could start a family if Lexi ends up being his person.

"I feel a happiness in my heart... If Joey was my person and Joey and I fell in love, my heart is fluttering even thinking about that. When I'm with him, I feel something I've never felt before, and I'm very excited," Lexi said in a The Bachelor confessional.

Joey also gave out roses to Maria Georgas, a 29-year-old executive assistant from Kleinburg, Ontario, and Kelsey Toussant, a 31-year-old actor from Los Angeles, CA.

Maria received her rose after a very tense two-on-one date with Sydney Gordon, a 28-year-old vintage store owner from Newport, RI.

Following Sydney's elimination, she told The Bachelor cameras, "I don't think [Joey] knows the real [Maria]. She sucks. She sucks. It was hard for me to open up because I fear rejection, and that's exactly what happened. I'm going home."

Sydney had accused Maria of being a "bully" and a catty "mean girl," but Joey clearly felt a stronger connection with Maria, who insisted she had been wrongly and unfairly accused.

Once Sydney left the show, her The Bachelor bestie, Lea Cayanan, a 23-year-old account manager from Hawaii who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, stirred the pot by approaching Joey and letting him know that she was very surprised by his decision to keep Maria.

Maria, feeling overwhelmed by hate and negativity, then considered quitting and leaving the show.

So does Maria quit? And since Lea inserted herself into the drama, will it damage her chance with Joey?

Joey teased last month that his ending is going to be "s shocker" and very "emotional."

"From what I'm told, the ending is something that hasn't happened before," Joey said on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast.

"I know they say that every time, but this is actually, from what I'm told, that is the case."

Joey -- who previously confirmed he's "happy" after filming -- also told Kaitlyn Bristowe that he has no regrets from his season.
