Most of the cast wondered if Demi was going to quit the show when she went to talk to Chris Harrison, but instead, she just opened up about her internal struggle and how her heart was leading her in two different directions.

Demi shared with Harrison how she cared for a woman back home romantically and was afraid to lead Derek on, however, she had developed a powerful connection with Derek and could potentially see herself with both people down the road.

Harrison thanked Demi for being so open and honest with him, but it didn't seem like the pair had reached a solution.

Meanwhile, Derek was worried and a bit hurt Demi cared so much for another person, regardless of whether that person is male or female. But he vented to Chris Bukowski about how Demi was probably "going through so much more" than he was.

"I can understand why she's so conflicted. It makes me question am I always out of my league? What is it? I don't get it. I don't know what else I can do. I don't know if there is anything else I can do," Derek told the cameras.

Derek didn't want to lose Demi, and Demi feared she wasn't going to make the right choice between the two.

Meanwhile, Tayshia Adams said John Paul Jones surprised her and he was "really cute." Tayshia felt bad for any new women coming in because everyone was pretty much paired up.

The most established couple in Paradise was Clay Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar, Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes were attached, Katie Morton was very invested in Chris, and Dylan Barbour won over Hannah Godwin.

As for Blake Horstmann, he was interested in pursuing Caitlin, who liked and was "still curious" about him. Caitlin wanted to stay and date him, but she admitted it would be difficult for the two of them to progress "with Kristina hanging around."

But Kristina reiterated her rose for Blake was just "a friendship rose" and she wasn't ashamed of her intentions to hopefully stay in Paradise so she could meet another man.

Kristina hoped to receive Blake's rose in turn at the next Rose Ceremony, but she didn't necessarily expect it. Blake told Kristina he thought Caitlin was cute and great, but Kristina suggested he should follow his heart because he wouldn't want to regret his decision later on.

Caitlin told Caelynn that Kristina was "atrocious" and "manipulative" because she was stealing Blake's time away.

"Kristina is like the mosquitos here. She's just sucking the life out of everyone, and tonight, we're going to squish the mosquito," Caitlin said in a confessional.

Caitlin then pulled Kristina aside and asked what her motive was. Kristina said she her actions were none of Caitlin's business and she was allowed to talk to her friends without a motive.

Kristina insisted she wanted her pal Blake to find love in Paradise, but Caitlin was trying to having a calm conversation and didn't understand why Kristina was getting so "heated" and "defensive."

"You are literally here chasing friendship roses instead of actually letting people find authentic relationships. I am really, really interested in your friend," Caitlin said.

"Then take this up with him. Why does my opinion matter?" Kristina asked.

Caitlin said if Kristina really cared about Blake, she would let him pursue a romance by handing out his rose to someone he might actually be interested in.

Kristina kept snapping at Caitlin, who in turn accused Kristina of being "impossible" and "awful" because she copped an attitude for no reason. Caitlin didn't understand how Kristina could be happy with herself after all of this.

Kristina told the cameras Caitlin was "probably just feeling threatened" -- "that's all." Kristina said Caitlin should focus on what she wanted rather than talking to her.

Meanwhile, Chris was excited about Katie and "having a good time" with her. He wanted a serious relationship and to get engaged and eventually married, and it seemed like Katie was a real option for him.

Katie, however, told Chris that he was "a free man" and could go on a date if he wanted to with one of the new girls. Chris admitted it "sucked to hear that," and he began wondering if Katie was on the same page.

Jennifer then arrived in Paradise, and Dean admitted "she's one of the most beautiful girls in Bachelor Nation if not the entire planet earth."

Dean said it was nice to put a body and face to her Instagram handle, and Caelynn worried she might steal Dean away because she was absolutely "beautiful."

"I know Jen from recent times because while Blake ghosting me, he was hanging out with her. She might've been at Stagecoach, who knows. Surprise, surprise!" Caelynn revealed.

Blake said he knew Jen but confirmed Jen was not at Stagecoach and they did not hook up however she was "gorgeous."

After Jen talked to Blake, she also chatted with Dean. Caelynn said she knew about Dean's reputation and was trying to protect her heart because he'd probably leave her for the next "shiny thing" in Paradise.

However, Dean told Caelynn that he turned Jen's date down, and Caelynn couldn't be happier.

Chris was a bit thrown off by his conversation with Katie earlier that day, and she began to worry she was sabotaging her relationship and had planted a seed of doubt in Chris' mind. Katie seemed to immediately regret she had given Chris her blessing to go on a date.

"[Katie] mentioned she didn't want to hold me back from going and experiencing [Paradise], which was a little disappointing to me because I thought we had more clarity on where we were at in our relationship," Chris told the cameras.

"I wanted her to say, like, 'I'm going to cut your arm off if you go on a date.' I wanted to hear that, but I didn't."

Katie didn't want to see Chris go on a date, and she cried to the cameras because she had someone great right in front of her and she was "self-sabotaging" and just trying to protect her heart.

Chris then accepted Jen's date invitation, but he told Katie that he didn't want this to regress what they had. Chris hoped this date would bring her more clarity and basically be a wake-up call for her.

For their date, Chris and Jen went sailing on a boat. She thought Chris was hot and they had a lot in common, so she was excited to see where things could go.

Katie expected Chris was having an amazing time on his date, but the seas were actually very rough and Chris got sick on the boat. Chris nearly threw up his champagne.

To make it up to her, Chris planned a little date at night for Jen. He said the next person he was going to invest all of his time into would become his wife.

Chris liked her energy and confidence and called her witty. He was actually "shockingly surprised" by their connection and could see potential in their romance.

Jen and Chris liked each other, but she didn't know where his head was at. Chris did, in fact, have Katie in the back of his mind the entire time. He had been really confident in that relationship.

Chris later admitted to Katie he didn't receive the clarity he had hoped for, but Katie then opened up and said she really liked him and wanted to fight for him.

"I'm going to be completely honest: I want to be with you and you make me really happy," Katie said. "I don't like that right now you're doubting what I'm saying."

Chris confessed something was missing and he was having a little bit of doubt, which worried Katie. Katie said in a confessional she'd be "really crushed" if Chris closed the door on them and chose to go after Jen.

Suddenly, Harrison asked to speak with Demi and said producers had come to a decision that would put her in the best position. Demi was then reunited with Kristian, 27, and the girls embraced and cried.

"I love you so much!" Demi cried, before kissing the woman she had missed terribly.

Kristian said she came to Paradise to pursue Demi and show The Bachelor alum her level of commitment. Kristian worried Demi had feelings for someone else and said it would be "really hard" for her to hear.

Derek was "full of anxiety" and admitted he felt like he was in purgatory. He was constantly trying to figure out what was happening.

Demi and Kristian then caught up and Kristian told Demi she had never been in a relationship like this before and it was very difficult to say goodbye. Demi admitted she had met an amazing guy and gave him "a lot emotionally and physically."

Demi said she felt conflicted and was going back and forth in her mind about what she really wanted.

"I've been really confused about it and feeling like a really f-cked up person for it," Demi said, adding however that the more and more she was away from Kristian, the more and more she thought about her.

"The second I saw you, I knew exactly, like, it's you and it's always been you. I want to be with you."

Demi then felt the need to talk to Derek and let him know what was going on. But Kristian was hurting knowing Demi had romantic moments with Derek.

"I'm not here for any other reason but her, and if she just wants to be with me, I'm all for it," Kristian told the cameras.

"But if she wants to explore other options, the thought of it sucks... I need her in my life and want her in my life, and if my heart gets broken, that would be my worst nightmare."

Kristian trusted Demi to follow her heart, and then Demi broke the news to Derek that she wanted to be with Kristian. Demi said this situation was going to suck for Derek and it wasn't fair to him at all but she was going to pursue her romance with Kristian on the beach.

Derek was clearly upset but he was glad Demi was going to do what made her happy. Demi told Derek that he's the most amazing man she ever dated and it wasn't about anything he said or did.

Derek cried and vented, "I always get hurt," but he promised Demi that he wasn't blaming her. He said, once again, a girl just picked somebody else over him. But Demi insisted he's wonderful.

"You're everything anyone could ever want, but it's just what my heart feels," Demi noted.

Derek assured Demi it was okay and she was making the right decision. Derek cried about losing that spark in his life, and he admitted the breakup really hurt.

Derek tried to be strong in front of Demi but he feared being a woman's second choice would continue to happen for him in life. He was tired of hearing he's "a great guy" and then getting rejected.

"It doesn't matter if it was a man or a woman. It hurt no differently," Derek said.

Derek then asked to meet and speak with Kristian. There was no animosity between them because Derek and Kristian clearly both wanted what was best for Demi. Derek made it known he was hurting, but he hoped the meeting would make things easier for Demi.

Demi's next obstacle was telling the world about Kristian and trying to become comfortable with being her true self in front of everyone. Katie and Hannah were especially proud of Demi and gushed about how brave she was for coming out.

Demi and Kristian were then given a Date Card so they could rekindle their flame.

Kristian knew they'd need to work through some things emotionally. She felt a bit confused, conflicted and angry. Kristian wanted to make sure Demi was on the same page and she'd commit and be on the same page.

Hannah noted it was "true love," especially because both women had opened themselves up to judgment but didn't seem to care.

On their date, Kristian told Demi that she had cried after learning about Derek, and Demi hated that she hurt her girlfriend. Kristian hated that Demi doubted their relationship and had to test her feelings, but Demi explained she's a skeptic and can't help that.

Demi admitted she was "a control freak" and hated being vulnerable, but she was ready to try harder for Kristian.

"I could never go through something like this again. It's really not fair to me," Kristian told Demi.

Demi said she was scared and didn't want to get hurt, and that's why she had doubts. And Demi assured her girlfriend that she didn't want to run from her feelings anymore and she had figured everything out in such a unique environment.

"I finally found not only myself, but I've found what my heart wants, and I feel so sure about it. I want to commit to you, and I've never wanted to commit to someone like this before," Demi said.

The couple then said, "I love you," to each other. Kristian said when they were together, nothing else mattered, and Demi was ready to love Kristian the way that she deserved.

Demi couldn't imagine being with anybody else ever again, and she was prepared to commit for life.
