'Apprentice' Bill Rancic gets engaged to E! News' Giuliana DePandi

Former "Apprentice" contestant Bill Rancic has gotten engaged in Chicago to E! News anchor Giuliana DePandi and the couple plans to wed in Italy late next year.

People magazine reported that Rancic proposed to the 31-year-old news anchor Friday with the same extravagance that helped him earn the top spot on the first season of "The Apprentice" from host Donald Trump.
The season-one winner took DePandi by limo to a helipad in Chicago, where he provided her with her favorite food and a helicopter ride over the Illinois city, before eventually proposing to Rancic at her rose-petal covered apartment.
"I thought I was dreaming," the news anchor told People of the 35-year-old's proposal. "It was the most amazing moment of my entire life. Not only is Bill the love of my life, but he's also my best friend. I couldn't believe my dream guy was asking me to marry him!"
