Want to see how some rich kids live? And no, we're not talking about the silly situation that involves sticking Paris Hilton out in the boondocks -- you'll have to wait until December for that. We're referring to MTV’s latest venture into reality TV, it's new eight episode “Rich Girls” series that will premiere October 28 at 10:30 PM ET.

According to MTV, the series will follow Tommy Hilfiger’s teenage daughter Ally and her gal pal Jamie Gleicher as they prance around their “shopping haven”, aka New York City. And apparently the girls don't waste any time showing off their spending skills, as the premiere episode includes a prom dress spendfest (complete with the mandatory accompanying limo.) Then it’s off to the chic Federic Fekkai salon to get their hair and nails done.

But don’t let the money fool you. Hilfiger is quick to point out that “just because we’re rich doesn’t mean we’re not good people”. And Gleicher adds that she’s learned that “money does not buy happiness”.

We’ll wait and see for ourselves on the 28th. But we're guessing that like Jessica Simpson, they probably aren't looking over those register receipts too carefully before signing them.
