90 Day Fiance star Chantel Everett, who is now also starring on The Family Chantel, admits she didn't know everything that happened while Pedro Jimeno was partying it up in the Dominican Republic with his sister Nicole and friends.

As shown on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Nicole showed Chantel a brief video of Coraima -- one of Nicole's pals -- dancing with Pedro and grinding on him.

While Chantel was hurt and confused in the moment, she didn't know the half of it at the time. Not only did Pedro act recklessly that night, but he even took off his wedding ring and put it into his drink.

"I didn't know. I found out a lot at the Tell-All about what happened when I was not in the Dominican Republic," Chantel told People.

Chantel watched footage of Pedro having a little too much fun when Part 1 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s Tell-All filmed. (The special aired on July 21 on TLC).

Chantel apparently didn't realize the full extent of her husband's actions until then.

"I didn't have a proper reaction in the Dominican Republic [because I didn't know] about the severity of it. At first, I thought it was just a two-second dance, but this is a girl who wants a relationship with him that he's seen on multiple occasions," Chantel explained.

Pedro admitted to the magazine he had "messed up," especially because Chantel felt blindsided.

"I enjoy in the moment I had with my friends. I passed the line," Pedro said.

Pedro reportedly explained he was looking to feel "free" because his marriage had been plagued with so much tension, anxiety and stress.

Pedro apparently wanted to let loose in his native country with the people whom he missed.

"I been so long in United States, I no have friends over here, you know what I mean? That's why I extremely passed the line," Pedro noted.

Pedro and Chantel's relationship and their family ties are nothing short of dramatic, and they insisted none of it is played up for The Family Chantel cameras.

"I don't feel like any of it is exaggerated. I've definitely grown a lot since 90 Day Fiance to The Family Chantel in the sense where I have my opinion and I'm gonna be strong about what I believe," Chantel told People.

"You may not always like it, but it's better that I say it and be true to my own self than suppress and bottle it up. I feel like I'm more open now."

And Pedro added, "In the beginning, that was a happy life. I had the best wife in the world! Then I met your family."

Pedro and Chantel met about four years ago and have been married for nearly three. While divorce has been discussed and accusations have been thrown away, the couple appear to still be together and working out their issues.

On whether Chantel has any regrets, she said, "I feel like I messed up on one big decision of my life -- not to be with [Pedro] -- but the way that I told my parents."

Chantel initially told her parents that Pedro was visiting the United States on a student visa, but in actuality, they were in love and planning to marry.

"I would still choose to marry him, but I would definitely have more realistic expectations," Chantel said.

The Family Chantel currently airs on Monday nights at 10PM ET/PT on TLC, following 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.
