NBC Enterprises has licensed Bravo and NBC’s summer breakout hit “Queer Eye For The Straight Guy” in both the U.K. and Scandinavia. Reuters reports that NBC has upgraded its previously-announced cross-promotion between the Bravo show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and its The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Under the new schedule, NBC will run a full hour episode of Queer Eye on the night of August 14, not a half-hour special edition. The "Fab Five" will then appear on Jay Leno's show that night -- but as guests. Michael Starr in the NY Post reports that NBC is "definitely considering re-airing" episodes of the Bravo hit Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, in the face of record-breaking ratings for the cable show. The July 29 episode of the show on Bravo (which is owned by NBC) drew 2.8 million viewers, smashing the record for the most-watched show in Bravo history: the 1.6 million who watched the series premiere on July 15. Bravo has announced that “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” the network's new, unscripted lifestyle makeover series, will premiere on Tuesday, July 15 at 10 PM ET/PT, The debut show will be immediately followed by a second first-run episode at 11 PM ET/PT. The series will then begin its regular run with a new episode every Tuesday evening at 10:00pm ET/PT.
