NBC has announced that Olympic medalist Angela Ruggerio has won last February's stunt casting promotion that allowed viewers to vote a member of Team USA's 2006 Torino Winter Olympics squad into the group of candidates who will compete on the sixth edition of The Apprentice.

In what has to be one of the saddest attempts at cross promotion and potential shark jumping in recent memory, NBC has announced that it will allow home viewers to determine which member of the United States Olympic team competing in Torino will also appear as a candidate on next fall's The Apprentice 6.
NBC orders 'The Apprentice 6,' series to film in Los Angeles area

NBC announced today that it has ordered The Apprentice 6, a sixth edition of Donald Trump's popular reality series. And having apparently plugged every possible Trump property in the New York tri-state area (you knew they were starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel when last week's The Apprentice 4 episode plugged "Trump Bar," a bar located in Trump Tower), The Apprentice 6 will film in a new location: Los Angeles (or, as NBC more generically terms it, "Southern California.")
