  The identities of the five additional houseguests were revealed Tuesday night (July 8) during the series premiere of "Big Brother 4" on the CBS Television Network. As was previously announced last week, during the premiere episode, five of the people in the house were surprised by a twist in the reality show called the "X-Factor," in which their ex-boyfriends/ex-girlfriends joined them in the house as participating houseguests.

  CBS has announced that the producers of "Big Brother 4" have made a casting change to the previously announced group of houseguests, increasing the "X Factor" from four couples to five couples. Previously announced houseguest Brandon Showalter has been replaced with a fifth ex who will be revealed along with the remaining four HouseGuests in the premiere episode on Tuesday, July 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

  This morning CBS revealed the identities of nine of the thirteen houseguests for "Big Brother 4" in anticipation of the reality series' premiere on Tuesday, July 8 at 8/9 PM, ET/PT. As was announced earlier this week, four of these people will have their exes joining them in the house as participating HouseGuests. None of the contestants knows about this "X Factor." The identities of the four remaining houseguests will be revealed in the premiere episode.

  CBS today revealed the details of its much promoted mysterious Big Brother 4 "twist". The "twist" (some others might call it "jumping the shark") is that soon after entering the "Big Brother" house, four unsuspecting housemates will be stunned when it is revealed that their ex-boyfriend or girlfriend (thus the "X") will also be joining the house as participating and competing houseguests. The twist means that eight of the 13 houseguests (four couples) will be living with someone they thought was out of their lives. Will alliances form between the former couples or will old wounds be opened? Will romances be rekindled or will new ones arise?
