'Idol' producer says Antonella Barba won't be disqualified over photos

After several days of playing coy about the fate of Antonella Barba, American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe has reportedly announced that despite the emergence of numerous provocative photos, the sixth season semifinalist will not be disqualified from the smash-hit Fox reality competition.

Fox isn't publicly commenting on the recent emergence of numerous provocative photos of sixth season American Idol semifinalist Antonella Barba, nor are they allowing Barba to directly do so herself. But there is one person that's willing to talk to the media about the alleged pictures -- Amanda Coluccio, the Barba best friend who also made it to American Idol 6's Hollywood round but failed to make the season's Top 24 semifinalists cut.

The 20-year-old North Carolina native is scheduled to perform her new single "I Wonder" during Idol 6's live results show on Thursday, March 1 at 8PM ET on FOX.
