Last night in a dramatic results show, it was announced that La Toya London from Oakland, CA and Amy Adams from Bakersfield, CA were chosen by America to become the next two contestants to make the Top 12 on American Idol.

After getting halfway through the semi-finals round without a single contestant begin booted due to legal or moral issues, Idol hopeful Donnie Williams was arrested this week for driving drunk and speeding at 100 MPH while returning home from a party thrown in his honor.

FOX three-night American Idol premiere closed out it ratings rampage on Wednesday with its highs numbers yet -- leaving other broadcasters hoping that the program's ratings will somewhat subside as the show begins to settle into its regular broadcast slots, but already shuffling their schedules to get out of the 800-pound gorilla's way.
