Having already announced plans for a Queer Eye For The Straight Girl spinoff, Bravo is now looking to accomplish what's perhaps the ultimate Holy Grail of international television licensing -- turning an overseas version of a hit American series into a popular American series of its own. Beginning tonight, Wednesday, September 1, Bravo will begin running episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: UK at 10PM ET/PT.

In its sixth and final episode of the season, Bravo's hot Blow Out reality series hit all time ratings highs in the Adult 25-54 demographic, the Adults 18-49 demographic, and total viewers (breaking the one million total viewer mark for the first time during the program's run.)

While it's clear that Bravo's new Blow Out reality show won't be another break-out summer hit similar to last year's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, June 8th's Blow Out premiere none the less performed well for the network, drawing 645,000 overall viewers during its 9PM premiere and another 567,000 during its 11PM encore.

Bravo has announced that it has picked up Queer Eye for the Straight Girl, a spin-off series from the same folks behind the network's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy series, for broadcast as part of its 2004-2005 schedule.

Yes, apparently the earlier rumors were true -- James Getzlaff, the gay bachelor from Bravo's Boy Meets Boy, and Wes Culwell, the gay single that he selected at the conclusion of the series, are no longer presuming a relationship.

If, as some critics charge, the "Fab Five" are being overexposed, then someone forgot to tell the viewing public, because the effects aren't being felt in their program's ratings. At least not yet.
