Despite the fact that for the second week in a row CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation drew over 30 million viewers with a performance that's expected to once again place it as the week's top ranked program, NBC's The Apprentice still managed to draw near series-high Adults 18-49 ratings and achieve the network's best regular programming performance in the time period since September 2002.

NBC's celebrity-filled second supersized episode of The Apprentice once again delivered a ratings performance that should place it just outside the Top 10 in the week's Nielsen rankings, however clearly it's having little impact on CBS competitor CSI, as last night's CSI episode was the most watched regularly scheduled broadcast on any network this season.

Airing for the first time in its new 9PM ET/PT timeslot directly versus a repeat episode of CBS' CSI, the fourth episode of NBC's The Apprentice rebounded significantly from the series-low ratings that it had delivered when airing head-to-head versus FOX's American Idol the previous week.

In the latest example that "gentlemen's agreements" are only worth the paper that they (aren't) printed upon, NBC has recently revealed that as part of its recent decision to move its new The Apprentice reailty series to Thursdays at 9PM ET/PT, it also will be "supersizing" the February 5 and 12 episodes of the program -- and placing the show in direct competition with the first two regular Thursday broadcasts of the All-Star edition of CBS' Survivor, which Apprentice executive producer Mark Burnett also produces.
