Aleksander L. Nordaas Biography

Aleksander Leines Nordaas (born 21 November 1982, Mosjen) is a Norwegian screenwriter and film director, and is a co-owner of the Norwegian production company Yesbox Productions. Aleksander is also a published author, as well as an exhibited photographer and digital artist.

Films

Feature film Sirkel (2005 - scriptwriter, director, DOPm editor). Won the Audience Award at Bergen internasjonale filmfestival in 2005.
Online series Takk skal du ha (2007 - co-script, director, DOP, editor)
Short film In Chambers (2008 - scriptwriter, director, editor), awarded "Best Short Film" at WT Os internasjonale filmfestival 2008. Later it won Best Norwegian and Beste Nordic short film at Minimalen in 2009. The full-length short film is available online.
Feature film Thale (2012 - scriptwriter, director, DOP, editor, set designer) Reviewed by Empire as "Beautifully enigmatic and eerie" and Ain't It Cool News as "A truly unique and amazing film". Thale was also screened at Toronto International Film Festival.
Short film Mister Mushy (2012 - scriptwriter, director). Mister Mushy on Norwegian national television.
Short film / exhibit / app Kind of Fishy (2012 - concept, director) Kind of Fishy won the FineArt's Award for Best Exhibit at Galleria Art Festival 2012.
Short film Mushroom Monster (2013 - scriptwriter, director) Short film pilot for the upcoming feature film "Morkel The Moss Monster", also to be written and directed by Aleksander.
