Only a week after Daily Variety reported that Australia's Seven Network had passed on U.S. hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," ending negotiations for rights to the show as well as format rights for an Australian version, The Hollywood Reporter says that NBC Enterprises has now closed a deal with Australia's Network Ten broadcaster instead.

Ho-hum ... another episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, another Bravo ratings record. For the third straight week, Queer Eye, which airs Tuesday at 10 PM, drew more viewers than ever before, meaning that it has set a new Bravo total audience record in six of the last eight weeks.

Pete Best, meet Blair Boone ... and then make room for his lawyers. The New York Post reports that Boone, who (like original Beatles drummer Best) was dumped on the brink of stardom, is suing the producers of Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy for $105,000 for breach of contract.

Coming soon to a bookstore near you -- lifestyle tips from the "Fab Five," stars of Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The New York Post reports that book publisher Random House is forking over a $1 million advance for their book, to be titled Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab Five's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better and Living Better.

NBC's August 21 re-broadcast of Bravo’s popular “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” (10-11 p.m. ET) smashed its own audience records and helped NBC tie for first among adults 18-49 for the night.
