Stephen Hibbert Biography

Stephen Hibbert is an English-born actor and comedy writer. He is perhaps best known for his role as the The Gimp in the Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction (1994).

Career

Hibbert began his career as a member of the Los Angeles-based improv group The Groundlings. It was where he met his future wife Julia Sweeney, marrying in 1989, then divorcing in 1993.

Besides Pulp Fiction, Hibbert has also appeared in the films Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), The Cat in the Hat (2003) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). As well as appearing in the television series Newhart, Just Shoot Me, Jericho, Rodney, Back to You, Twenty Good Years and a recurring role on the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP.

As for Hibbert's writing career, his most notable writing credit to date was the feature film It's Pat, based on the Saturday Night Live character Pat played by Julia Sweeney. His other writing credits include the animated series Darkwing Duck, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, the sitcom Boy Meets World, as well as the sketch comedy series MADtv, On the Television and Random Play (acting in the latter two).
