Academy names Oscar Awards visual effects contenders

Seven films will be considered for this year's visual effects Oscar, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Friday. The academy said "The Aviator," "The Day After Tomorrow," "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "I, Robot," "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events," "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "Spider-Man 2" would be considered for the visual effects prize.

NBC has announced that this week's penultimate episode of The Apprentice will be packed with twice the drama -- as well as an appearance by New York City's most famous friendly neighborhood superhero, Spider-Man.
