Brittany Beede Biography

Brittany Beede (born December 31, 1984) is an American model and former professional wrestler. She is best known for her time in WWE, where she performed under the ring name Jamie Keyes or simply Jamie. Beede was a contestant in the third season of NXT and had previously acted as the ring announcer for the second season of NXT.

Professional wrestling career

Wrestlicious and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2009)

After working as a model for various companies, Beede reached a verbal agreement with Wrestlicious in 2009 to perform as the promotion's ring announcer and film some footage for the promotion's show.

After talks with Wrestlelicious fell through, Beede made her professional wrestling debut on December 20, 2009 at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's Final Resolution pay-per-view as Kevin Nash's manager.

World Wrestling Entertainment (2010)

Florida Championship Wrestling

After studying in nursing school, World Wrestling Entertainment saw Beede's Wrestlicious pictures signed her to a developmental contract. Beede, under the ring name Jamie Keyes, made her debut in WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling at the March 19, 2010 television tapings as the ring announcer. However, she would not make her wrestling debut until the May 12 episode of FCW, where she lost to Savannah in the first round of the Divas Championship tournament. On the September 12 edition of FCW, Keyes lost a singles match to AJ Lee.

NXT and departure

On the June 8, 2010 episode of NXT, Beede made her debut as the ring announcer, using the ring name Jamie Keyes. During the season 2 finale of NXT on August 31, it was announced that she would be part of the third season of NXT with the Bella Twins as her Pros. On the September 7 episode of NXT, Jamie was unsuccessful in winning in the "Dance Competition" and "Capture the Flag" contests. The following week on NXT, she managed to defeat Aksana with a roll-up to claim her first victory. On September 21 episode of NXT, Jamie competed in the "Talk the Talk" challenge, which was won by AJ, before later teaming with Kelly Kelly and Naomi to defeat LayCool and Kaitlyn with Vickie Guerrero in their corner. On October 5 episode of NXT, Jamie unsuccessfully competed in a "Mechanical Bull Riding" contest and a "Talent Show" contest. On September 28, 2010 episode of NXT, Jamie was unable to win the "Diss The Diva" and "Divas Wheelbarrow" challenges. Despite being undefeated, she was the first rookie Diva to be eliminated from the competition on October 5. On October 14, it was reported that Beede had been released from her WWE contract. Despite her release, Beede made one final appearance for the company on November 30 during season 3's finale, where she and the other eliminated rookie Divas weighed in on whether Naomi or Kaitlyn, the finalists of the competition, should be the winner.

Retirement and post-wrestling career

Soon after being released from WWE, Beede resumed her modelling career and also began working as a fitness instructor.

Personal life

Beede has been a lifelong fan of professional wrestling. Her father is also a fan, and together they attended local shows during Beede's childhood.

Beede had an athletic childhood, during which she began and continues to train in gymnastics, dance, tennis, volleyball, boxing, track and field, karate, weight lifting, and cheerleading. She also began powerlifting upon joining WWE.
