NBC to broadcast condensed version of Bravo's 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' premiere on Thursday July 24

NBC has announced that it will broadcast a special 30-minute version of the Bravo’s critically acclaimed unscripted lifestyle makeover series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” on Thursday, July 24 9:30-10 PM ET. “After as much media attention and a breakout premiere on Bravo, we want to offer this unusual series a bigger platform,” said Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Entertainment. “The sensational ratings speak for themselves and our Thursday-night audience makes a good fit for this special edition.”

Last night’s 10-11 PM ET premiere of the new Bravo original series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” has rewritten the cable network’s ratings record book, attracting a stellar 1.166 million viewers in the adult 25-54 category, 1.204 million viewers in the adult 18-49 category and 1.641 million total viewers. “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” also achieved a Bravo-record 1.61 household rating.

Bravo has announced that “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” the network's new, unscripted lifestyle makeover series, will premiere on Tuesday, July 15 at 10 PM ET/PT, The debut show will be immediately followed by a second first-run episode at 11 PM ET/PT. The series will then begin its regular run with a new episode every Tuesday evening at 10:00pm ET/PT.
Gay group has no issue with 'Boy Meet Boy' deceptive gay bachelor program

When Bravo's upcoming "Boy Meet Boy" was first announced and the premise revealed, we were sure that gay rights would have rightfully been up in arms and protesting. Instead, to our surprise, according to the New York Post, at least one major gay rights group seems to be supporting and applauding the show's cruel and deceptive premise of staging a "Bachelor"-like program in which a gay man is looking to select a partner from a group of 15 suitors that, unbeknownst to the eligible bachelor, contains numerous straight men who were paid by the program to pretend to be gay.
