In the finale of Bravo's Project Runway, which took place five months after the final three designers were chosen, small-town Pennsylvania boy Jay McCarroll, 29, was chosen as the winner based on a 12-piece show by each of the remaining designers during New York's Fashion Week.

Stating that its primetime lineup will now be "twice as queer," Bravo has announced that Queer Eye for the Straight Girl, the long since announced spinoff of its popular (but somewhat fading) Queer Eye for the Straight Guy series will debut this month and join the network's weekly lineup.

Bravo's Project Runway fashion designer competition, a spinoff of sorts of Miramax's Project Greenlight filmmaking series that was dropped by HBO but later picked up by Bravo, will premiere Wednesday, December 1 at 10PM ET/PT. Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, Project Runway will give aspiring designers a chance to break into the notoriously difficult-to-crack fashion world via an America's Next Top Model-like competition format.

In a surprise announcement that contradicts previous reports about the future of the series, Bravo has announced that its Blow Out "docu-reality" series will return for a second season. The new season of the reality series about Hollywood stylist Jonathan Antin's salon will air in 2005.

In a transparent quest for additional viewers, NBC-Universal has announced that beginning Tuesday, October 14 its CNBC business news cable channel, already benefiting from its twice-weekly repeats of NBC's current The Apprentice 2 broadcasts, will also begin broadcasting weekly telecasts of the Blow Out hair salon startup series that aired on the media conglomerate's Bravo network earlier this summer.

Move over Tyra Banks, there's a new supermodel competition hitting the airwaves. Bravo's new Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model, a male takeoff of Tyra's popular America's Next Top Model UPN series, hosted by Carmen Electra, will premiere Wednesday, October 13 at 10PM ET/PT.
