The second season of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels was confirmed by VH1 in October 2007. On December 8, 2007, VH1 started playing advertisements for Rock of Love 2 with Bret Michaels. The second season premiered on January 13, 2008.

The Rock of Love 2 season finale brought in 5.03 million viewers, up 2 million viewers from it's season average. The season finale also ranked third in the week for cable shows, behind Spongebob and The Memory Keeper's Daughter.

Daisy is the niece of boxer Oscar De La Hoya, as she admitted in episode 10.
Megan and her partner Scooter were the winners of the third season of Beauty and the Geek.
Megan is a Playboy model, and she was named the Playboy Cybergirl of the Week on February 6, 2006.
Angelique is involved in porn under the stage name Angelique Morgan and has appeared on various television shows such as Howard Stern, Dr. 90210, Criss Angel Mindfreak, and Playboytv.
Kristy Joe has modeled for Playboy.
Rock of Love 2 was parodied in a sketch on the episode of Saturday Night Live aired on February 23, 2008. Bret, Daisy, Kristy Joe, Peyton, and Big John were characters along with a girl named Amber, who had one leg and was eliminated in the sketch.
Daisy used to be the bass player for a Gothic rock band by the name of Seraphim Shock, but she now sings and plays bass for 'The Crush'.
