Plot

After playing a pagan ritual on a dare, a group of high school students find themselves trapped inside an old house haunted by their worst nightmares.

Production

The film was shot in Wallingford, Connecticut in April and May of 2012.

Release

The Midnight Game premiered at 30th Anniversary Miami International Film Festival on March 2, 2013 as part of their midnight MAYHEM category.

Critical reception

Early reviews from Fangoria magazine and genre blog Quiet Earth lauded the film as a "Creepy/fun romp...a new blade on a vintage saw," and "Impressive. Drops a bombshell of an ending that has me pining to see it again...a moody thriller that relies more on ambiance for scares than gore and blood."
