Ratings: FOX's 'The Casino' fails to strike it rich in premiere, draws only 5.8 million viewers

From its inception FOX's The Casino series has been compared to producer Mark Burnett's previous non-elimination business startup show, NBC's The Restaurant. And now The Casino apparently has something else in common with The Restaurant -- low ratings.

Couldn't get enough of The Swan? Well don't get too upset, because as part of last week's unveiling of its 2004-2005 schedule, FOX announced that it will air a second installment of the series as part of its fall programming slate.

As part of its summer programming announcement, FOX announced yesterday that The Simple Life 2, the sequel to this past winter's The Simple Life hit reality series, will premiere Wednesday, June 16.
