Amanda Saccomanno (born July 18, 1991) is an American professional wrestler, television personality and former fitness and figure competitor currently signed to WWE under the ring name Mandy Rose, performing on the Raw brand.

In 2015, she placed second on the WWE competition WWE Tough Enough. That same year, she signed a contract with WWE and joined the reality television show Total Divas, which is produced by WWE and E!.

Early life and Fitness career

Amanda Saccomanno was born and raised in an Italian-American family in Westchester County, New York, and is the youngest of four children. She is of Italian and Irish heritage. She attended Yorktown High School, where she participated in dance. She later earned her bachelor's degree at Iona College, majoring in speech pathology.

Rose entered her first fitness competition in 2013, and took first place in the World Bodybuilding Fitness & Fashion Boston Show. She was also crowned the 2014 World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Bikini Champion.

WWE

Tough Enough (2015)

Rose was a contestant in the sixth season of the WWE competition WWE Tough Enough, which began airing in June 2015. She was at risk of elimination on the July 28 episode, but was saved by judge The Miz. During the season finale, she adopted the ring name Mandy Rose, lost a match against Alicia Fox, and placed second overall, after winners Sara Lee and Josh Bredl.

NXT (2015-2017)

After the Tough Enough season finale, it was revealed that Rose had signed a five-year contract with the company. Rose made her in-ring debut for WWE's developmental territory, NXT, during a six-Diva tag team match at a live event in Venice, Florida on January 30, 2016. On the August 17 episode of NXT, Rose debuted in a six-woman tag team match along with Daria Berenato, and Alexa Bliss, in which they were defeated by Carmella, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Glencross. On the September 28 episode of NXT, Rose lost her first televised singles match to Ember Moon, and it turned out to be her second and last live broadcast appearance in NXT.

RAW (2017-present)

On the November 20, 2017, episode of Raw, Rose joined Sonya Deville and the returning Paige as they attacked Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, thus establishing herself as a heel in the process. A week later, the trio's name was revealed as Absolution. On the December 11 episode of Raw, Mandy and Paige defeated Mickie James and Bayley with Mandy picking up the pin on Mickie James. Rose, along with her Absolution associates, announced on the first Raw of 2018 that they would be in the first ever women's Royal Rumble match at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Mandy Rose entered the match at #4, and became the first ever woman to be eliminated from a women's Royal Rumble match when she was eliminated by Lita. On January 28, 2018, it was announced that Rose had replaced Alicia Fox in the Mixed Match Challenge teaming with WWE Superstar Goldust. Fox suffered a broken tailbone and is not expected to be cleared for at least a few months. At the WWE Mixed Match Challenge Round 1 Goldust and Mandy Rose were defeated by Jimmy Uso and Naomi. On the February 5th episode of Raw, Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle announced the participants of the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match and Rose was one of them. Just like the Royal Rumble match in January, Rose was the first woman eliminated in the chamber, after submitting to Sasha Banks. On the March 5th episode of RAW, Mandy Rose was defeated by Bayley after the match Absolution attacked Bayley then Sasha Banks came for an aid for Bayley then Bayley pushed Sasha Banks away.

Rose appeared as part of the main cast for the fifth season of the WWE reality television series Total Divas, which began airing in January 2016.

Personal life

Rose is a supporter of animal rights and adoption. She participates in yoga, pilates, and CrossFit. Her childhood nickname was "Hamburgers"?. Saccamanno's family owns a delicatessen in Carmel, New York. Her relationship with her former boyfriend Michael was featured on Total Divas. She lives with her best friend WWE superstar Sonya Deville.
