Lizanne Falsetto is an American business entrepreneur, wellness expert, model, and public speaker. Falsetto is the founder and former CEO of thinkThin, a natural food and nutrition bar company based in Los Angeles.

Early life and career

Falsetto was born in Seattle, WA to an Italian family. After graduating from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, Washington she was offered a full college basketball scholarship but chose instead to pursue a career as a fashion model. Falsetto became successful in international runway and print modeling, working for Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and Giorgio Armani throughout the 1990s.

Career

Falsetto, who is gluten intolerant, developed snack and meal-replacement recipes that became popular among fashion models. In 1999, she launched thinkProducts to bring high protein, high fiber and low carb and low sugar bars to market.

In 2012, sales of thinkProducts, particularly thinkThin, grew by 50% in the meal-replacement bar category, outselling weight loss market competitors Slim Fast in the meal-replacement bar category. That same year, Forbes estimated that the brand exceeded more than $70 million in revenue. Falsetto played an active role on the Board of Directors for thinkProducts under TSG Consumer Partners, LLC.

In November 2015, Falsetto and TSG announced the sale of thinkThin to global performance nutrition and ingredients group Glanbia plc for $217 million.

Honors and awards

Falsetto is a three-time Telly Award winner for producing and directing in the Best Documentary and Short Film category for films on female entrepreneurship, wellness, and nutrition. Falsetto was recognized with a Leadership Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners and the award of Entrepreneur of the Year for 2014 from Entrepreneur Magazine.

Falsetto raised $350,000.00 for women's cancer research and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation and hosted 2014 and 2015 benefits for Whole Planet Foundation micro-lending programs for women in developing countries.

Falsetto is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization, the World Presidents' Organization, and a founding member of the YPO/WPO Health & Wellness Group a global network dedicated to teaching CEOs best practices in healthy living.

Media personality

Falsetto became an active public speaker in 2014, discussing her professional journey, the role of intuition in business, and female executive leadership. She launched Think Like a Woman, LLC.

Falsetto is the co-host of a weekly radio series on SIRIUS XM Radio, titled, Business Rock Stars Women. The program features female CEOs and entrepreneurs who cover topics ranging from financing, marketing, scaling, and networking for women.
