Charlie Corwin serves as Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, Endemol Shine North America. Corwin originally joined Endemol Shine North America in October 2014.

Corwin, alongside colleague Cris Abrego, leads the North American division of Endemol Shine Group, the newly merged global independent content creator, producer and distributor with a diverse portfolio of companies that are behind some of the most prominent hit television formats and series in the world.

Corwin and Abrego oversee all of the division's unscripted programming, including hits such as CBS"? "Big Brother"? and FOX"?s "MasterChef"? and scripted series from its Endemol Shine Studios, producers of AMC"?s "Hell on Wheels,"? DirecTV"?s "Kingdom"? and HBO"?s upcoming drama "Utopia."?

Also under their purview is Endemol Live ("Pitbull"?s New Year"?s Revolution"? on FOX), Spanish-language sales and production team Endemol Shine Latino, nationally syndicated series "Steve Harvey"? and Endemol Beyond USA, the company"?s digital unit, which recently launched global lifestyle network ICON with Michelle Phan. Endemol Shine North America is also home to a portfolio of industry-leading subsidiary production companies including Authentic Entertainment, Original Media, True Entertainment and 51 Minds Entertainment. In addition, Endemol Shine North America has a strategic partnership with Ryan Seacrest Productions.

Corwin, an award-winning film and TV producer, previously led the production company Original Media as its CEO and co-founder. While there, Corwin oversaw the development of some of the U.S.'s most successful TV series and formats, as well as critically acclaimed box office successes. In television, Corwin is widely considered an innovator for his creation of subculture specific docu-series such as "Miami Ink"? (TLC) and its popular spinoffs, "LA Ink" and "NY Ink," as well as the breakout successes "Swamp People"? (History) and "Storm Chasers"? (Discovery).

Along with Kevin Smith, Corwin co-created "Comic Book Men" (AMC), about fan-boy culture and also co-created and executive produced "The Rachel Zoe Project"? (Bravo). In 2009, he co-created the scripted drama "The Philanthropist"? for NBC with Tom Fontana and Jim Juvonen.

Corwin has produced numerous feature films that have been nominated for a total of 14 Spirit Awards, 3 Golden Globes, and 2 Academy Awards. Among them, "The Squid and the Whale,"? "Half Nelson,"? "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints,"? "August,"? "Twelve"? and "Sunlight Jr."?

Endemol acquired a majority stake in Original Media in November 2007, after which Corwin remained CEO and continued to grow the business. He began his career at the Internet start-up Live Music Channel, which was a pioneer in video streaming and a leading provider of live concert performances for television and the Internet, as Co-Founder and President.

Corwin grew up in Manhattan, New York. He has a B.A. degree from The University of Wisconsin and law degree from New York University School of Law. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two children.
