Brook Roberts Biography

Brook Roberts (born 1983) held the title of Miss Oregon 2004 and competed in the Miss America 2005 pageant. From 2006 to its closure in 2010, she was a host on Gems TV. In September 2010, it was announced that she competed on The Amazing Race 17 with her co-worker Claire Champlin. The Amazing Race was filmed in May-June 2010 and premiered on September 26, 2010.

Miss Oregon

Roberts competed at Miss Oregon 2004 as Miss Douglas County. She attended Southern Oregon University with majors in Communications and Journalism. Her platform was "Providing a Voice for Abused and Neglected Children" and her talent was a Vocal Performance.

The Amazing Race

Prior to the Races broadcast, CBS posted a short preview video clip from an episode on the internet, showing Brook & Claire competing at a watermelon launching challenge using an elastic slingshot. The clip showed Claire, manning the slingshot, being hit in the face full-on with a watermelon after it failed to launch correctly, leaving her momentarily stunned but unhurt. The clip spread among the internet in a viral manner. Brook was very supportive of her partner and expressed how proud she was of Claire. The team ended up placing 4th in Leg 1, despite the watermelon incident. Their best placement was a 1st place finish in Leg 2. They ended the race in 2nd Place in The Amazing Race 17 final leg becoming the fourth all-female team to do so after Dustin and Kandice (All Stars), Jaime and Cara (Season 14) and Claire and Michelle (Asia Season 4)
