A Haunted House is a 2013 comedy horror spoof film directed by Michael Tiddes and starring Marlon Wayans. It was released on January 11, 2013. The film is a parody of the "found footage" genre, such as the Paranormal Activity franchise and The Devil Inside.

During interviews to promote the film, Wayans explained "it's not exactly a parody" but rather a movie with funny characters doing the opposite of what typical white people do in similar horror films.

Plot

A young couple, side her as Keisha starts screaming as Malcolm gets out of the bed and is thrown against the wall, Malcolm then wakes up and celebrating that he survived, but is then dragged away by Keisha and the door closes.

Reception

A Haunted House received negative reviews from critics and currently holds a 6% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 32 reviews.

IGN editor Alicia Malone rated the film 3 out of 10 and wrote "Marlon Wayans' found footage spoof A Haunted House is a mess of cheap, tired gags that wishes it was a Scary Movie."

Home media

A Haunted House will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, Ultraviolet, and digital copy on April 23, 2013.
