Phaedra Parks (born October 26, 1973 in Athens, Georgia) is an American television personality and entertainment attorney. She is best known for her appearances on Bravo's hit reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta, on which she has appeared since 2010. Additionally, as an entertainment attorney, she's represented stars such as Bobby Brown and Jermaine Dupri.

Parks is a Christian.

Life and career

1973-2009: Early life and career beginnings

Parks was born on October 26, 1973 in Athens, Georgia to Regina Bell and Henry Parks, both of whom are pastors. She has a sister, Keosha and two brothers; Henri LeJacques Parks and Albert Bell. She attended Clarke Central High School, graduating in 1989. After high school, she attended Wesleyan College and graduated in 1993, with a Bachelor of Arts in communication. Later, she attended the University of Georgia Law School where she received her juris doctor in 1998.

After graduation, Parks started The Parks Group, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia; a law firm. She has represented stars such as Jermaine Dupri, Bobby Brown, Too $hort and has served as a legal analyst for Michael Jackson.

On November 1, 2009, she married long-time boyfriend, Apollo Nida. A year prior to their wedding, Nida was released from prison as a result of racketeering charges.

2010-present: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Parks joined Bravo show The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its third season, joining the show with Cynthia Bailey. In May 2010, she gave birth to her first child, Ayden Adonis. She was seen pregnant throughout her whole inaugural season on RHOA. In May 2013, Parks gave birth to her second child, a son, named Dylan.

Throughout 2013, Parks represented fellow cast member Kandi Burruss against former cast member Kim Zolciak in the court case over the legal rights of Zolciak's 2009 single "Tardy for the Party".

She confirmed that she had separated from her husband, Apollo Nida, on October 10, 2014 and announced she would start divorce proceedings. As of April 2016, the divorce has not been finalized. In 2016, Parks revealed that she's interested in politics, and pursuing it in the future.
