  • NBC & 'Survivor' producer Mark Burnett announce casting call schedule for 'The Apprentice'

    NBC will begin the process to find America’s next business tycoon - one who will win the chance to earn a six-figure salary while learning from international tycoon Donald Trump - with a nationwide recruiting tour to choose finalists for the network’s new unscripted series “The Apprentice,” from executive producer Mark Burnett (“Survivor”). Shooting will begin this fall and a winter 2004 airdate is planned.
  • 'Survivor 8' considers filming All Star Survivor edition in Palau

    CBS and Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett appear to be trying for a grand slam with Survivor 8. As previously discussed, this will be the long-rumored All-Star Survivor edition, with the confirmed participation of the first three Survivor winners -- RIchard Hatch, Tina Wesson and Ethan Zohn -- plus Susan Hawk and Rudy Boesch from Richard's "Tagi Alliance" in Pulau Tiga and the beautiful but treacherous Jerri Manthey from The Australian Outback.

    The New York Post reports that Survivor: The Amazon $1,000,000 winner Jenna Morasca, 21, and fifth place finisher Heidi Strobel, 24, will be taking it all off in a nude pictorial for the August issue of Playboy magazine.

  • Network fall schedules feature few reality shows

    The Associated Press reports that, during the preview of fall schedules by television networks last week, few reality shows made an appearance. In fact, only one of the 38 new shows could even vaguely be called a reality show: Steve Harvey's talent show. The other 37 new shows are all scripted.
