Gnomeo & Juliet is a 2011 3D computer-animated family film based on William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. The film was directed by Kelly Asbury, and the two main characters are voiced by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt. The film was released on , 2011. It also marks Jason Statham's first voice role outside of video games. While the film drew mixed reviews, a sequel is in works under the direction of John Wayne Stevenson.
