After appearing on American Idol, Caldwell became the first Idol contestant to pose for the men's magazine, Maxim, in a feature on "Reality TV girls" in the August, 2003 issue. That same year, she served as a correspondent for Fox Sports' extreme sports show, 54321, which only aired that year.
In 2004, Caldwell began recording her as-yet unreleased debut album with American Idol judge and record producer, Randy Jackson, and legendary songwriter Diane Warren. She has also been a correspondent reporting on American Idol for Fox News Live on the Fox News Channel, Ryan On Air with Idol host Ryan Seacrest, Showbiz Tonight on CNN Headline News, and the TV Guide Channel. Along with fellow ex-reality show performer Rosanna Tavarez of Pop Stars' Eden's Crush, Caldwell is the co-host of "Reality Chat," a weekly talk show on the TV Guide channel that chronicles the ups and downs of assorted reality TV shows. In addition, Caldwell and Tavarez report from the red carpet at award shows for the TV Guide channel and host "Idol Tonight" a behind the scenes look at American Idol also on the TV Guide Network.
She has recently attempted to move into acting, making an appearance on an episode of the short-lived FOX sitcom, Life on a Stick. Caldwell is reportedly reading scripts for other projects. She is also an industry panelist for American Idol Underground.
She is currently working on her debut album with John Rich of Big and Rich.
