Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch (born November 10, 1994) is an American actress. She is known for portraying Juliet Martin in The CW television series Ringer, Maya Bennett in the Disney Channel television series The Suite Life on Deck, and Emily Asher in the 2013 film Beautiful Creatures.

Personal life

Deutch was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actress Lea Thompson and director Howard Deutch. Her great-uncle is actor Robert Walden (who is her paternal grandmother's brother). She was raised in her father's Jewish religion, and had a Bat Mitzvah. She had a relationship with nickelodeon actor Avan Jogia from 2011-2013.

Career

Deutch began her career in 2010 on the Disney Channel Original Series The Suite Life on Deck as Maya, Zack Martin's love interest. From 2011 to 2012, she had a recurring role as Juliet Martin on The CW series Ringer.

In 2011, she appeared in an episode of the television series NCIS titled "One Last Score". Deutch booked an small scene in ', she play's a gossip girl In the bathroom that is terrorized by the Lizard. In the end, director Marc Webb cut the scene from the movie in favor of keeping the action of the fight between the Spider and the Lizard in the school, the scene is available on the dvd. She also appeared in an episode of the television series Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior titled "The Girl In The Blue Mask" and she landed a role in Marc Cherry's television film Hallelujah. She appeared alongside her mother and sister on the big screen in film Mayor Cupcake, and played supporting character Emily Asher in the 2013 fantasy-romance-drama Beautiful Creatures. She is also scheduled to play the part of Rosemarie Hathaway in Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters, based off the book series written by Richelle Mead.
